Block Text Messages on iPhone X/8/7 2019

Block Text Messages on iPhone X/8/7 2019

Almost all the people have some sorts of hassles when it comes to spam messages. They come unannounced and create a ruckus, by disrupting your work flow. So, you must be wondering how to get rid of this pesky little thing. There are tons of ways to block unwanted text messages on iPhone. You can register your number for Do Not Disturb or block that sender or even use third party apps as well. In this article, we are going to give you some easy tips to handle this problem.

Part 1. Block messages on iPhone from unknown contacts

Part 2. Block Text Messages from the Contacts

Part 3. Blocking Text Messages on iPhone via "do not disturb during driving"

Part 4. Block Text messages via Carrier

Part 5. How to Retrieve Blocked Messages on iPhone without Backup
Part 1. Block messages on iPhone from unknown contacts

The great feature about the iPhone is that when those pesky little scammers and individuals come up to bother you with their work, you can take the easiest solutions.

Simple go to the ‘Messages’ on your iPhone.

Select the option of the ‘Settings’.

And click the “filter unknown messages”.

This method is quite advantageous as all the spams are treated in a totally separate category providing a great deal of relief to the users.

If the individual still fills your separate list up with useless and teasing messages, you can simply click on the "Block this number" option in the settings of that unknown contact. Don’t worry, we have it explained in the second method.

Part 2. Block Text Messages from the Contacts

If the users are still being bothered by the annoying texts and calls, there’s another way to get rid of this problem and here’s how the steps go:

Simply Select the contact from the messages list.

Go to the settings menu for that contact.

Scroll down and click the “block this contact” option.

Once you have blocked the unknown contact, you won’t receive further texts or calls.

Part 3. Blocking Text Messages on iPhone via "do not disturb during driving"

Driving people always opt to have the full focus on the road with no one distracting them from their work. Well in the latest IOS 11.3 version of the iPhone, you can easily set it to the auto-reply mechanism from your phone.

Simply navigate to the settings icon on your phone and enter the general option after scrolling down.

Choose the restrictions after you navigate your way there and you will see the “do not disturb during driving” option which is the answer to your problem.

This is an excellent feature that allows the response of each and every message to be given without you ever seeing the message. Now you can focus on your driving while your phone creates a block pass just for you.

Part 4. Block Text messages via Carrier

Some people always find a way to somehow get to you even when you are fine and relaxing. Surely, there is also a solution for that. Contact your carrier about the spammer or the number that is causing a lot of problems for you and simply ask them to block the current number.

Some carriers will ask for email and verification of iPhone and address but that shouldn’t be too much of a problem as it is worth less than gained more in return. This allows much easier and smoother process to occur without any hectic long procedures.Sponsor ads:Best Barcode and QR-Code Scanner Apps for iPhone in 2019

4 Methods to Fix iCloud Backup Time Keeps Increasing (iOS 12 Supported) 2019

When Apple is involved, you'll always come across some form of innovation, whether it's through a new product, new platform or new feature. In recent times, iCloud has been a huge success for them, and that's because storing things virtually has become the go-to method. It's easier, safer and more convenient than carrying a memory drive around everywhere.

However, occasionally people experience the issue of the time freezing when they attempt to back up their data on device to their iCloud. This also happens in iOS 12. iCloud backup time keeps increasing but it never completes. So, how long should it normally take, and why does it take so long? Well, you can find out the answer to those questions here.

But, if you're wondering How to speed up iCloud backup process, then stay put, as we'll be discussing several options that you can explore.
4 Methods to Fix iCloud Backup Time Keeps Increasing (iOS 12 Supported)

1. Ensure There Is Enough Storage Space to Back Up

2. Check Your Network Connection

3. Turn Off Large Apps/Files Which Aren't Needed

4. Back Up iOS Device Faster using an iCloud Alternative (Free)
1. Ensure There Is Enough Storage Space to Back Up

In many instances, it may just be a case of you not having enough space in your iCloud account to perform a backup. Usually, Apple will notify you that you have insufficient storage, but if you're right on the limit, sometimes it fails to do so. Other times, an Apple bug will think you're trying to back up more than you actually are even you are running iOS 12. So, either reduce how much you're trying to back up, or delete some things that you don't need from your iCloud account to make room for the data on your device.

2. Check Your Network Connection

As iCloud is based on the internet, your network connection could be the cause of slow speeds. Typically, people will try to back up their device while at work, or while they're sharing the network, which will only prevent the backup from completing. Either you can switch to a stronger network connection, reset your modem, or reset your device by going through the Settings app on your device.

Just hit Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings, then reconnect to the Wi-Fi.

3. Turn Off Large Apps/Files Which Aren't Needed

The Apple App Store is a great hub for essential tools, but some applications can drastically slow down both the phone, and the iCloud backup procedure. But, luckily, iCloud offers you an option to decide what you want to back up. So, if an app has a substantial amount of data connected to it, you may want to deselect it.

Furthermore, the same thing applies to large files. Anything that has a lot of size attached to it will definitely increase iCloud backup time. Therefore, it's wise to avoid trying to include anything that is too big. If you deselect large apps or files, you'll notice a vast improvement in terms of speed.

How to Update iTunes to the Latest Version

How to Update iTunes to the Latest Version
On Mac

If you are using Mac, you just have to open the App Store and click on ‘Updates’ located right at the top. You should be able to see available updates here, and you can click install to get these updates.

On Windows

If you are using Windows, you can open iTunes and navigate to the menu bar where you can click ‘Help’ and then ‘Check for Updates’. Prompts will be provided to let you install the latest iTunes version.

Why You May Don’t Want to Upgrade iTunes

Users who have installed the latest version of iTunes have reported of frequent app crashes whenever they are connected to the internet via Ethernet cables or just Wi-Fi. The app is known to work well if there is no internet connection, but once connected, the app will crash even if it has started running.

What are the Lacks of the Current iTunes Version

If there’s anything lacking in the current iTunes version, it’s the fact that there is no more syncing apps or ringtones to and from your iDevice.

In this latest upgrade as well, the iOS App Store has been removed from the desktop iTunes version. In short, you can no longer access the App Store directly from your iTunes as you used to do with the older versions, and you will also find that syncing your apps to any other iDevice is no longer possible with the version 12.7.2.

App management is thus only doable through each iDevice that you own instead of accessing it through iTunes on your Mac or PC.

If I Delete Photos from iPhone, Are They Still in My iCloud Photo Library

If I Delete Photos from iPhone, Are They Still in My iCloud Photo Library
A lot of people are confused about what happens to their photos after they delete them from their phone. Do they still hang around in iCloud? If you’re trying to remove sensitive images that you don’t want others to see, do you have to make sure that they’re removed from iCloud as well?

Let’s take a look at this topic in closer detail:
If I Delete Photos from My iPhone, Are They Still in iCloud Photo Library?

The answers are different for different situations.

When you have “Optimize iPhone Storage” set to “on” in Settings > Photos & Camera, then there will be a low resolution version of your photos automatically stored on your device, with the high resolution version on iCloud. If you delete your version on your device, there will still be the high resolution version on iCloud. (Note: When your iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi again, it will automatically download the low-resolution-version photos to your iPhone again.)

If “Download and Keep the Originals” is on, then your original photos are on your device. If you delete these, they might not be on iCloud anymore.

To be on the safe side, always check your library on iCloud and make sure that the photos are deleted.
Can I Delete Photos from iPhone, But Not the iCloud Photo Library

Yes, you can. Here are two ways to do this:
1. Sign out of Your iCloud Account before Deleting the Photos

You can simply sign out of iCloud before deleting the photos. Follow these steps:

Go to Settings, then tap on your name.

Scroll to the bottom, then tap where it says Sign Out.

If you have separate credentials for iCloud, then tap Sign Out of iCloud, then input your ID and password to sign out.

Now open the Photos app.

Tap the photo you want to remove and a trash can icon should appear. Tap this icon to delete the photo.

Note: If you sign back in, iCloud will automatically start sharing your photos with the device again, so your device may re-download the photos. If you don’t want this, you may have to use another method.
