So far rumors have pointed to Apple working on the iPad mini 5 and a 9.7-inch or 10-inch iPad but the latest rumor puts a twist in that story. A reliable leaker claims that Apple is working on iPad 7 with a 10.2-inch display as well as a new 10.5-inch non-Pro iPad.
While the Cupertino company intends to launch both, they will not arrive at the same time. It is possible that at Apple’s media event later this month, we will see the company announce the iPad 7 with a 10.2-inch display. The tablet will have the same physical dimensions as the existing 9.7-inch iPad but come with thinner bezels and a slightly larger display.

Both iPad 7 (10.2”) and the “new” iPad (10.5”, non-Pro) are coming. But not at the same time.

As for the 10.5-inch non-Pro iPad, it is unclear if it really exists and exactly how it will fit in Apple’s lineup. Apple previously offered a 10.5-inch iPad Pro but replaced it with an 11-inch variant last year.
By offering so many display options, Apple might just end up cluttering and complicating its iPad lineup unnecessarily. An iPad mini along with a 10-inch iPad should be more than enough for most users, with the more powerful iPad Pro aimed at professional users. Apple, however, seems to have something else in mind.
Given the reliable history of CoinX in terms of iPhone and Apple-related leaks, it is tough to dismiss his tweet despite it not matching up with the narrative of other rumors. How do you think Apple can differentiate between an iPad with a 10.2-inch display and one with a 10.5-inch display? Let us know by dropping a comment below.
